Stevens Johnson Syndrome, or Erythema Mulitforme, is a serious skin condition resulting in damage to the blood vessels of the skin and often followed by an infection to the skin.

A serious condition that could lead to death, SJS is often the result of an alllergic reaction to a drug, and may cause lesions to form on various parts of the body. These lesions often affect the mucous membbranes and thus every major organ. While most SJS patients are over 40 years of age, there have been cases reported in young children and infants.
